In the splendid setting of the Sicilian countryside, among the hills and woods that surround Vizzini - in the Province of Catania - lies the Dain Farm Holiday Centre, an atmospheric eighteenth century landowner*s home, restored fully in keeping with local tradition to offer hospitality to anyone wanting to spend a holiday in contact with nature in a little known part of Sicily. The farm holiday centre has rooms with private bath and heating. In the old villa there is a communal lounge with fireplace, a characteristic restaurant serving wholesome Sicilian food. A 600-hectare private estate lies around the structure. Here, in the woods, there are many trails that can be followed either on horseback, in a one horse carriage or on mountain bike. Among the other activities to be enjoyed at the farm holiday centre are 5-a-side football, bowls, archery, table tennis, and of course, nature trips and visits to the characteristic nearby places, including Licodia Eubea, Monterosso Almo, Vizzini and Syracuse. The Dain Farm Holiday Centre is open all year around.
